The Evelyn Cambridge Surgical Training Centre has a team of World Class faculty , led by Dr Arun Gupta
(Director of Postgraduate Education , Cambridge University Hospitals (CUH) / Cambridge University Health partners (CUHP) & Consultant in Anesthesia, Neurosciences & Trauma Intensive Care)
The supporting team have a wealth of experience in their chosen surgical, technical and administrative fields.
The centre is located approximately 20 minutes from Cambridge & 30 minutes from Stansted airport. There are good travel links to London and other major cities providing easy access for attendees.
The Evelyn Cambridge Surgical Centre is licensed by the
HTA - Human Tissue Authority

STATE OF THE ART FACILITIES
The centre has 10 large anatomical skills training stations within an integrated audio-visual teaching environment, with each of the stations simulating a self-contained operating theatre.
Each training station includes a bespoke mobile operating table with electric height and tilt adjustments, integrated fluid drainage and radiolucent tops for different types of surgical procedures.
State of the art surgical lights, video cameras and video monitors are mounted over the tables.

EDUCATION & TRAINING
In many surgical specialities, it is recognised that cadaveric laboratories offer by far the best opportunity for providing trainee surgeons with the operative experience they require. The Evelyn Cambridge Surgical Training Centre provides the opportunity to share surgical knowledge with healthcare professionals and to develop new surgical techniques.
The teaching and training are delivered by local and regional faculty who are internationally recognised for their expertise in surgical skills and cadaveric training. The centre provides the ideal environment for professionals to learn operative techniques on cadaveric material in high-quality facilities.

RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT
The Evelyn Cambridge Surgical Training Centre is fully equipped to undertake basic, advanced and pioneering research into any aspect of the surgery and product development, irrespective of whether or not this requires the use of cadaveric material.

SIMULATION CENTRE
Training scenarios are programmed and designed specifically to meet the needs of each group of participants depending on the level of experience. This will enable every participant to rehearse relevant procedures both simple and complex and have exposure to rare events.
The centre is located at Addenbrooke's hospital in Cambridge.

POST GRADUATE MEDICAL EDUCATION CENTRE
The Postgraduate Medical Centre (P.G.M.C) provides the infrastructure and support to facilitate the education, training and continuing development of health professionals at Cambridge University Hospitals Foundation Trust (CUHFT).
They offer a wide range of courses and manage the bookings for the Evelyn Surgical centre and the Simulation centre based at Addenbrookes hospital.
